Fairly confident I’ve never seen one of these in person. Shame most modern cars lack this kind of character. Looks rather European to me. $6500 on CL.

They were rugged little cars, nothing too exciting, but dependable and economical. Good, honest transportation for solid citizens.
EDIT: Wow, just looked at the ad - someone really spent some money on this one in ‘62, air conditioning and an automatic transmission (but, weirdly, no radio). Those were not cheap options, especially on a compact.

Nah, it was the Rambler stereotype. Sort of boring, ordinary cars for boring, ordinary people.
